Maiya is currently enrolled in Texas Southern University majoring in Media Communications/Pubic Relations, with a minor in Journalism. Her hobbies and interests include volunteering, the arts, music, and writing. She has a passion for learning, adventure, and meeting new people with diverse cultures. This passion of adventure has brought her to travel around the world and use her skills for Good. From helping others in Ghana to exploring and learning the culture of the past in France, these are just the few experiences out of many. 

She believes there will always be opportunities to overcome life's many obstacles, but you have to live life with no fear. She is open to employment opportunities that will allow her to use her outgoing personality, passion for learning, and interest in meeting new people. As a Communications/ Public Relations major she is looking for ways to make herself known and heard. She puts herself out there to new challenges and is ready to learn and help innovate the future.
