This is also a lifestyle blog as much as its also a food blog. So consciously, I wanted to include you guys in the many adventures that take over the Summer.

GOOD OL' GALVESTON

If your looking for an easy place to relax without going all out, this is definitely the place for you! Galveston is the place to be during the Summer for cheap fun in the sun! On a 90 degree day, like it was that day, there's so much to do. From the awesome Duck Tours, to the food spots, and of course the beach! This isn't my first time ever in Galveston, its so close to home its often a go to destination. The beach is the best part of Galveston, with 27.03 miles of island sea, the spots are endless! We found ourselves wanting shade and some cool drinks. On the beautiful sea wall there is Murdoch's! Murdoch's sells seashells, Galveston t-shirts and paraphernalia. They also have a wonderful seashore view that tourists can sit and watch the water. Its a really beautiful view! Instead of staying on the actual patio though we stayed underneath. Which is also very popular for hammock spots and a nice shaded view.

The Galveston Pier

Of course if you're in Galveston, you cant leave without visiting The Galveston Pleasure Pier! The beautiful Galveston pier is located in the center of the Galveston area. Once a hotel area turned amusement park, in 2012 the pier opened and turned into a mecca for Galveston tourism. It was so much fun! One thing that I didn't like was the fact that it was a little bit expensive. Just to walk on the peir and play one game was very hefty in charge. Other then that, it was very nice to go and have the experience!

This picture was taken as soon as you reach the other side of the pier. I feel like it definitely grasped the sunny day and the business of the pier.

I had to definitely ride the amusement park rides! It wouldn't have been a complete trip without it! I ended up riding one of the largest rides there in the park. The Iron Shark Rollercoaster is one of the main rides at the park! Many tourists would even say the most scariest one! So.. you know i had to try it. The line wasn't that long, and in no time i was able to have a seat right in the front row. After a few swoops, slides, and dips, the ride wasn't as bad! But then again, maybe its just me! I met some very friendly employees and played a few games there as well with friends. After a long day, we decided it was time to get some food. Although there was a nice place to eat in the park, we decided to just eat at one of the many food establishments that are offered in Galveston!

The Spot in Galveston

The Spot is a yummy place for sea food! This place is so unique, because of the fact that its literally the spot for everything!! The Spot has five restaurant in one spot. Hence the name! At the Spot, this place is usually filled

with a lot of people. Which is why its good to go before noon or right around it! When we went, we would stand in line and you would order, then after that you would wait for your number to be called on. I loved the place and the food was really good. We started off with Calamari appetizers. You could tell the freshness of the calamari, they were fried to perfection, and tasted delicious. Next, our meals came out. Everyone seemed to genuinely love their food! I ended up getting a shrimp po-boy and kept it simple. The menu is SO overwhelming!! So I went with what I know. The shrimp and everything had a taste fresh out the sea!

Galveston Beach

Depending on who you ask, Galveston is either notorious or infamous for their beaches. But during the Summer when tourism is at an all time high, the city usually does better in terms of keeping the beaches clean. But sadly, while the beach becomes cleaner, certain areas and rentals become more expensive. Which in a way is self explanatory when you think of supply and demand. Other then that, ways to find better beach sites are easy!

1. The further you drive down the sea wall, the cleaner the water and beach gets.

2. Come earlier to the beach before people come and your germophobia becomes alert at an all-time high.

3. Private beaches are always an option too. Depending on when you plan your trip, you can end up paying less for a rental. Mood Gardens' Pal beach is a private beach in Galveston! $23.95 per a person!

4. Lets not forget that South Padre is always an option, if Galveston isn't your vibe.

Moody Gardens Galveston Island

Apparently, a lot of people didn't know about that this, but yes people, Moody Gardens isn't just open during Christmas. Its opened year round!

Moody Gardens is an amusement park and hotel that is located in Galveston! It's very hard to miss as you usually see the glass pyramids across the water as you cross the bridge to reach Galveston Island! The amusement park I must admit is a bit pricey, but for everything that is offered depending on who you ask, its worth it! There are two pyramids, the Rainforest Pyramid and the Aquarium. Also other indoor amusements include the 4D theaters and the Museum just to name a few! Also, I think I had mentioned this before, but also Moody Gardens offers their own private beach!

Either way, Galveston even if your not that interested in the Beach, offers rich history and adventure. Even if your only going just for one day, it's the perfect destination for a cheap day trip!*
